Switched PDU allows an administrator to access the PDU from a remote terminal
to turn on or off outlets and control load by web and SNMP. When a remote
machine becomes unresponsive and cannot be restarted normally, this effectively
resolves the issue. An administrator can connect to the PDU the machine is
plugged into to power cycle the machine.
